Make A Wave

Make A Wave was founded by Alisa Verratti in February 2016 as a student organization at Saint Joseph’s University. What began as a campus-based initiative was driven by a simple but powerful mission: to support as many children in foster care as possible.

The organization started by hosting donation drives on campus, collecting essential items for children in need. As support for the mission grew, so did the desire to make a greater impact. In April 2017, Make A Wave officially became an incorporated nonprofit organization, allowing us to expand our reach and provide even more resources to children and families within the foster care community.

Today, Make A Wave Inc. is committed to serving as many children and families as possible through the collection and distribution of donated items. Our goal is to provide resources that children need but may not otherwise have access to, helping create opportunities for hope, growth, and success. Through these efforts, we strive to ensure that every child has the chance to experience a childhood filled with encouragement, achievement, and joy.
